ABOUT
ME
My name is Jacob Slominski

I am a coach who helps people with chronic symptoms
and illness find freedom in their lives. I work by helping
clients communicate safety to their brains and guide
them as they bring that safety into the places they fear.

Drawing from my background in dance and Zen practice and from my own 15-year recovery, I support clients using Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, JournalSpeak, Permission to Move, and several somatic and therapeutic practices including singing, drawing, inquiry, and Alexander and Feldenkrais techniques. I am finishing a Master's degree in disability studies and am certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and I love giving hope to clients who feel stuck, frustrated, and afraid.

I grew up in San Diego and studied insects, and then dance, before I moved to Brooklyn to begin a performance career. I now live by the Hudson River with my wife and daughter, and I love roaming local waterways by kayak, roller skating, visiting cemeteries, and doing weird live performance work.
